WHERE SENSORY-MOTOR ORGANISATION AND CLINICAL INSIGHT SHAPE REAL DEVELOPMENT
Connect Movement Therapy (CMT) was created for individuals whose sensory, developmental or regulatory pathways need clearer organisation and guidance. Many families come to us feeling uncertain why challenges persist — they can see the behaviours, but not the developmental mechanisms driving them. Our work makes those mechanisms visible.
We specialise in interpreting sensory–motor, regulatory and behavioural patterns and mapping them into a coherent developmental picture. This allows us to guide children, teens and adults toward steadier, more organised and more confident everyday function.
Our practice is grounded in developmental neuroscience and movement science, informed by contemporary research, and shaped by extensive real-world experience supporting complex developmental profiles.
About Louise Boettcher
Founder, Developmental Practitioner | Neurodevelopment & Movement Science
Lou specialises in sensory–motor organisation, neurodevelopment and brain–body integration across infancy, childhood, adolescence and adulthood. Her work focuses on the subtle developmental mechanisms that shape regulation, posture, movement, sensory processing and functional participation.
With over two decades across movement science, developmental neuroscience, health science, counselling and family-centred support, Lou combines extensive training across multiple evidence-informed neurodevelopmental models with lived experience as the parent of a neurodivergent child. This dual perspective gives her a grounded, realistic understanding of both clinical and family realities.
Lou is known for her ability to read developmental patterns that are often missed, bringing clarity to complexity and guiding families toward practical, meaningful and long-term change. Her work is developmentally sequenced, clinically respectful and centred on strengthening the foundations that support learning, participation and wellbeing.
